About Simone
My name is Simone Palstring, and I am originally from Germany. Since 2024 I live with my family in Nenagh, Co. Tipperary.
I have been practicing and studying Sowa Rigpa for more than 14 years now. My connection with Tibetan Medicine began, when I first turned to its wisdom for my own healing. After being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease following a tropical illness, Western medicine did not provide all the answers I was seeking. Over time, I experienced the profound ways the Sowa Rigpa teachings can support balance and well-being of body and mind. This personal journey has given me not only a deep respect for this ancient healing system, but also practical insights into how it can help others.
In 2016, I used my maternity leave to study Tibetan Medicine and completed a four-year program at the Sowa Rigpa Institute in Boppard, Germany. As part of my studies, I undertook an expedition to the Nepal Himalayas, where I learned about the healing properties of plants.
My Sowa Rigpa Practice
Since completing the course in 2019 I have worked as a Sowa Rigpa consultant in my own practice in Germany and now in Ireland. Today, I draw on both my training and lived experience to guide clients in discovering how Sowa Rigpa can bring positive change to their own lives. I am very grateful to be able to help and support other beings in their healing journeys. I meet my clients only in-person
Further education:
Each year I pursue further training in Tibetan Medicine and related studies, such as Tibetan language and Tibetan astrology, at the Sowa Rigpa Institute in Boppard, Germany. The institute's mission is to preserve this healing transmission and pass it on to interested people. This precious healing knowledge from the Himalayas should continue to flourish and support people in need (www.sowa-rigpa.org).
Previous education:
I previously spent many years in the fashion industry and hold a BSc in Textile and Clothing Management as well as an MA in Fashion Sustainability from the London College of Fashion.
